Writing for Fun? Why Not Make A Career Out of It?

A lot of people have hobbies they enjoy doing. Painting, photographing and sports are pompously options. One of those hobbies could be writing. If you enjoy writing, then I have a proposal for you. You might like to make a career out of it.

Writing is a great hobby to have. It is both fun and a relaxing activity. It is fun in the sense that finishing a story brings an exhilarating rush that only creating something can bring. It is also relaxing, and can help relieve stress. I recommend it for everyone.

The best part about it is that writing is also a career. You can take your stories and books and find someone to publish them. Self-publishing is also an option, if you’re struggling to gain representation. There are many ways to be a writer, but the one constant is that you need to produce a workpiece. Since you are already doing that as a hobby, you should pursue the rest of the career and gain the benefits.

You may think, “well, what if I’m not cut out for it.” Don’t sweat it if you think you’re not good enough. A lot of books are of such a high quality that they may come across as intimidating. Writing a full-length novel may also seem like a daunting task. If you enjoy writing, then, chances are, you’re good at it.

To sum up, you should pursue a career in writing if you take it up as a hobby. Writing is a great hobby to have, as it is both fun and relaxing. It also makes a great career. Don’t worry if you think you’re not good enough; if you are doing it for fun, then chances are you are. Writing is something for everyone to enjoy, so why not pick it up today.

    1. That’s a fair point. I personally really enjoy the marketing side, but you could always have an agent and publisher do all the business work. That way you can continue writing and have someone turn your work into a business.
